Hi Dawn

Good to hear that

Glad I could help you!!

It's always more satisfying when you can find something yourself ................. but sometimes you just need to know where to look.

Good luck

Dawn,

You seem a little at a loss!

If you put what details you have on here we will have a look for you.

If you feel uncomfortable at putting the details on here send them by pm (private message) - click on my name on the post and you can send a message which no-one else will see.

Or Jane 123 has already made the same offer - click on her name and do the same.

I am sure one of us will be able to find something for you.

Dea x

Don't give up

Thye are there waiting to be found

Which side are they? Husband's mother's parents or father's parents??

Get hudband's parents marriage certificate.

If you don't have, either look on Complete Index on ancestry.co.uk if you ahve a sub or ask soemone on here to find it for you.

Then order a copy from www.gro.gov.uk

Thta will tell you the names of the two fathers.

THEN you can go to www.freebmd.org.uk, enter the father's name and his wife's surname

the marriage of that pair should then come up on freebmd, and you will ahve both their names.

Just takes a little patience!

Do you know the names and years of birth of any of your husband's aunts/uncles. If they are born post 1911 it will give you mother's maiden name. If you know when the oldest was born work back from there to find a marriage.

If you want to pm me the details I will gladly have a look for you.

Kind Regards

Jane

Several ways to do it. If you don't know their full names you are going to probably have to get your hubands parents marriage certificate or birth certificates to tell you this. Then you are flying - provided they arent called Smith, or Jones from Cardiff :-)

Good luck!
