No, there is no trace of a marriage, I presume they were just living as man and wife.

I couldn't find a marriage for Sarah to Hiram so the chances are he is still alive, unless you have a marriage for them

Yep, Ann is on the 1871 census with her husband Thomas Briggs and also shown is her brother John. I have a few reasons to believe that John senior is still alive although I am not 100%.

Have you founf a death for John..cos normally women could only remarry if hubby had died...Also Ann could be in service...have you a marriage for Ann and we'll see if we can find her in a later census and work back

Thanks for the info, sorry forgot to say, that her mother (Sarah) is with Hiram Milner, her new husband and her new family in 1861 but John Bolam and Ann Bolam are missing ...

The 1851 has her born in North Shields, Northumberland

This is the nearest i could find...I also looked for John & Sarah and couldn't see them

Can anyone help me find Ann Bolam in 1861 ?? She was born approx 1843 in either North Shields or Durham. She is likely to be with her father John.
