There is this death, but not in London. Do you know if she had a middle name or if she might have not died straight away and moved to nearer home?

Ellen L. Parkyn, age 54
Sept. qtr. 1965, Truro, 7A, 21

or there's this one:-

Ellen L. Parkyn, age 86
Dec. qtr. 1960, Portsmouth, 6b, 506

or this one (Nellie is a pet name for Ellen):-

Nellie, M. Parkyn, age 73
Sept. qtr. 1966, Colchester, 4A, 545

I've looked from 1960 to 1969 and these are the only Ellen Parkyn deaths I can find.

You could get in touch with the library local to where the accident took place, as they should have back copies of the local newspapers on microfilm.

Can anyone give me any ideas about how I can find out about the death of my GGrandmother Ellen Parkyn? Apparantly she was killed by a bus in the Seven Sisters or Islington area of London. I can't find a death certificate for her, but it would have been in the 1960's, or so I'm told by a very unreliable source!! Does anyone know the name of the bus company that would have operated in that area at the time or any local newspapers online I can browse through?

Anything would be much appreciated.
