Tracing which area of ireland family would have co

hello everyone

i need a little help
im trying to find out which area of ireland a relation came from
john quinn was born in 1854 in ireland his father was called thomas quinn and he was a farmer,all i have is that john maried in sheffield to a jane ward at st marys church and they move upto manchester around 1881ish
and thats it icant find any other relations for john this is why im wondering if he moved over here .Could there be any boat records of he coming here any help would be grt
