	Help - I know of a friends relative who was awarded the MBE but she does not know why. This relative was born 1900. Have tried googling but no luck. Bernice

	try looking in the london gazette - all such awards will be there. Google london gazette and the records are searchable online. Failing that, the online times archives. Ian
