	I've not had one with a maiden name on normally just says wife or widow of

Member Since: January 2005 Posts: 557 Send Message	i think it depends on when it's from. i have one from 1976 which has a box for "maiden surname of a woman who has married". but obviously thats quite a recent one, one i have from 1897 does not have maiden name. although it may sometimes say "wife of ......."

	if she had children and they were registered, then that would be the way to go to get her maiden name from one of the birth certs. Shirley
