the person i am looking for is ellen, right age and place - her husband is george daniels b 1837 whitechapel. They married 1859. george isnt there (have put message on trying to find board and still havent found him... but what i was wonedring is how ellen became wife here? any thought or ideas?

If you look at the original, John Daniels, head, has been added at the bottom, kind of between lines. He's 26, married, born Not Known.

I have just looked at the image and Ann Chapman is in another household on her own

So Alice might be Ellens sister

Also if you look at the Schedule numbers
Ann is number 8
Ellen & Alice are number 9

Alice has to be Ellen's sister not Ann's. You can't have sisters aged 83 and 16.

There's a John Daniels ,head age 26 been squeezed in below Alice Warner on the actual census page. so Ellen is his wife.
The Alice Chapman is probably living on her own in the same house and no relation. They did tend to rent rooms in those days.
There's others too lving in the same house so seems to be multi occupants of 4 Brunswick Terrace

Now that that's all straightened out, I don't think it's the family that Lisa is looking for.
She said in her original post that she was looking for George Daniels, born Whitechapel, who married Ellen in 1859. That would be this marriage from Free BMD:
