I have just returned from the Essex RO after looking up some info for a GR member, but can anyone give me a receipe that will enable me to "not" get a headache after looking at loads of fisch.

I had to call it a day after only 2 hours, which is a shame as the RO is some 24 miles away and I would like to make fuller use of my visits there.

I am afraid it is a case of 'Practice makes Perfect'

The more you do it - the more you get used to the views and change of views!

It WILL get better!

Hi Dea,

I was looking at some very old church records, 1680is, they were not very clear and the dates were in Roman numerals, maybe I was concentrating too hard.

Try taking a rest every quarter of an hour or so and focusing your eyes on something else at a different distance.

Make sure you drink plenty of water, not juice or coffee but just plain water before going and drink again at frequent rest intervals. Dehydration of the body (and eyes) occur when we work on Fische or even PC´s so fluid intake is extremely important. Good luck x

I agree with Daisy, a good intake of water works for me.
