	Yes, there are Army Lists, and you wouldn't need to know the regiment, unless he had a common name and there was more than one.

	Well the best online sites for India records at the moment are www.fibis.org - (Federation of British Families in India) and the British Library India Office Collections http://indiafamily.bl.uk/UI/ You can also search www.familysearch.org - go to International Genealogical Index and select Asia and then India.

Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 239 Send Message	Is there any Free Index for Marriages in Calcutta (between British Subjects!)? The year is 1910. Is there an Army List for Officers serving in India at that time or would one need to know the exact Regiment? Perhaps Google might help? Thanks for any suggestions! Hazel
