Hi I am sorry if I am asking a really stupid question.
I am trying to take go back on my tree but i have hit a brick wall with Thomas Pearse 1830 born in Charsdtock. I have found everything else out about him. marrige, death etc. Is it the case of searching parish records for chardstock for baptisms to find out his parents details?

Once again i apologise if i am asking the obvious.
Many Thanks
Natalie

I had a quick look on Hugh Wallis IGI site and unfortunately there are no baptisms for Chardstock.

I would try the Devon Family History soc, they may be able to help or at least tell you where the records are. Some are still in the original Church, others are in Archives.

Natalie, do you know how to buy the certificate? Go to gro online and enter the gro ref you have above - it will cost £7. (You have the quarter missing above, you will need that)
