Does anyone have any way of accessing the British Consular Birth Index? I am particularly interested in the Paris (France) Consulate, for the years 1908 to 1915

Hi Stephanie,

I have just been reviewing my messages and note that you sent one back in 2008, which I seem to have missed,

Thanks for your offer and if it is still availavble the names I am looking for are:

Magdelaine Jeanne Clifford b Jul 1908
Patrick John Clifford b May 1910
John Charles Clifford b 1912

Parents were Joseph Clifford and Louise Pilard

Many thanks and appologies for the delay in response.

Regards
Stuart

FMP will only cover the Cliffords if they're English or Welsh - if not, you'll need to check with Scotlandspeople or Dublin

Hi Barry,

Thanks. Seems to be the story of my life !!
They were an unusual family to say the least.

Maybe registered under the French system ??

Unfortunately, the find my past site does not have all overseas registrations; this has been confirmed by the GRO staff.

Joy,

Thanks. I may have to go to Paris (what a hardship!) and check it out.
