Hi Angela

Nobody has mentioned Parish Records. Depending what area you are talking about, there may be records online.

It's worth trying Google book search:

http://books.google.com

and the Gazette (not just for London):

The Times Digital Archive is also good; your local library may give you access to it.

Thanks Lindy Too!

Does anybody else have any suggestions to further my research in the 1700s?

Hi All,

At last after 4 years I have found a birth that takes me to 1767. I now have a copy of the baptism record and details of parents.

What other records may be available to me to further my research? Can I find an addresses, job titles or anything else that I can add rather than him just being a name in my tree... What do I do next!!! Am stuck!

Thanks for all your help.
Angela
