I found this have sent for the record but wonder what it means. It takes a couple of weeks to get it and I am curious :-)

Yes, generally the house and job went together, so if you lost your job a possession order would be made by the bailiff, not much has changed. From there they generally went to the poorhouse unless relatives took them in.

Ah thanks Lindsey. I think he might have been awaiting trial in jail. Have found a bill of cost that looks like him in a few month later. Now to figure out whether there was a poor house round there. I think she may have been sent to his parents though but then they look like they were evicted to the same area in 1813.
This lot is going to cost a fortune looks like he was a bit of a rumun. Looks like 3 cases against him in about 25 years.

Generally if a family fell on hard times and needed support from a parish which was not of their origin, they would be removed from this parish and sent back to their parish of origin.

Perform a Google search on "Poor Law", some of it makes very harsh reading
