Hi Paul,

It should if the information was known by who ever registered the death give a place of birth,,,,,,,,this only applies to more recent records,,,,ie it applied from 1978 that I know of,,,,,,,,,,so if its later than that,Yes it could confirm,,,,,,,,

i was adopted in the sixties and have recently found my birth mother and been looking for details of my father. i found his birth details and now have found a death entry that looks like him (same dob and name) but how do i confirm this will the deathcertificate give me any details that relate to his birth (if you see what i mean)
