Richard Swan born aprox 1790 in Rainham, Kent.
Richard married a Mary.

I have been unable to find birth and marriage records for the above person.

Someone on here suggested I look at the City Ark website - which I have done so. I did find baptism records of Richard's children but nothing for himself.

I looked 5 years either side of the above date - the information either isn't there or I just missed it. I would really appreciate it if someone could double check for me, or advise me how to proceed as I don't know what to do now.

Thank you.
Karen.

Linda,

Thank you for taking the time to look.

There were 2 Richard Swans born in Kent, my one in Rainham and one in Stockbury, unfortunately they both seemed to have married a Mary. The Richard who isn't mine was transported to Australia - I've been along this path for months only to recently discover I was on the wrong one.

The Richard I am looking for - his first child was born in 1816 so I am assuming he married around that time - he is was born in 1790 makes the age right.

Sorry I should have put that bit on my original message.

Karen.
