Hi Alastair, No - the WA State Library has from late 1800's (1875?) to 1923. .... Ask 'Google'. (I use a 'tv-mate' -similar to the uk 'web-tv' ..so I can't use an adobe reader... not to worry!) ...Valerie (WA)

Thanks Valerie, but the online passenger lists at the State Library only cover 1926 to 1947 as far as I can determine. Can you give me the link for online searches from 1900 to 1905. I have Adobe Reader (you should get it as it is free & very useful) so that's not a problem

Thanks

Alastair

Thanks Helen for yur prompt reply. No I haven't bought the MC yet and I had forgotten the exact town when I wrote the post - mea culpa!

Some records include the Fergusson & some don't so it was probably added later and reflects her mother's maiden name.

I was hoping that someone had the CDROM and could do a quick look up.

Thanks again for your interest,

Alastair

Hi Alastair,

Did you purchase the wedding certificate as the WA BDM index lists her as Christine (no middle name) marrying James Christopher Evans in 1905.

MCLEAN CHRISTINE Female EVANS JAMES CHRISTOPHER Male COOLGARDIE DIST 573 1905

Just for your info Coolgardie is not in Perth. It is a small town in the Australian state of Western Australia, 558 km east of the state capital, Perth.

bye Helen

Does anyone have access to the WA passenger list records on microfiche or CDROM? If so could they possibly do a look up for me?

I have a Christina McLean b.1/7/1883 Edinburgh who we believe left for Australia as a nursemaid to a family Brown, arriving in Fremantle between 1901 and 1905. Also I have a Christina Fergusson McLean who married James Christopher Evans in Perth on 16/7/1905, However I don't know if they are one and the same person as I can't find the passenger list entry.

Any help would be much appreciated.
