Hi MB,

I would not touch it with a Genealogical Bargepole!
I`ve traced my tree back to 1820 with several strange (foreign names) and yet a search on Original Record brought up only one match between 1000 and 1999, costing £6.00 to view while not giving any idea of the classification, i.e Birth, Marriage or Death.
No dates either.
Of course I do Scottish searches so maybe it is not good on Scotland although it does advertise searches in British Isles.

I too had the same thought - was wondering if anyone had actually purchased from the site.

Has anyone used www.theoriginalrecord.com, if so please share your experiences/opinions. They seem to have a load of info but am wondering if I should part with my cash.

Many thanks
