finding there deaths

To give an idea of time-frame - this is Angie's other request

hello everyone and happy easter

well would anyone like a little challange

ive been trying to find if the following ladie's had children but ive got total lost

the first lady is called ellen married 1921 to george alfred quinn but what i have found is that ellen was a widow so her maiden name is thornhill [but first married name is range] she is down as age 32 on her marriage cerft.
then the next is florence ada quinn married 1910 to thomas griffiths now i now she was still alive in 1921 becasue she is a witness to the above marriage

can any one help

Have you checked freebmd? After 1911, you can include MMN in your search criteria. Presumably you know where these people married, so the chances are that their children will have been born in the same part of the country

ive just started doing that but because im not to sure which
name ellen would use its taking a lot of time

but im thinking that florance didnt have any children

Technically when registering the births of her children Ellen should be giving her maiden name as her maiden name - the birth cert for children of her second marriage would show something like Ellen Quinn late Range formerly Thornhill - so it would be Thornhill that would go on the mothers maiden name on the registers.

Angie are you relying soley on the transcribed indexes on Ancestry rather than looking for their deaths page by page on the scanned pages of the registers on Ancestry?

Also if you are using FreeBMD - this is just the transcribed data - which Ancestry use too - it has only been transcribed up until the 1920s anyway so if it was after that you will have to look at the actual indexes manually looking by surname, quarter by quarter for each year.

can any one help me
i can find my quins births and some marriages BUT
why can i find there deaths
im trying to find
george alfred quinn
thomas fredrick quinn
florence ada griffiths[nee quinn]
john charles quinn
wiliam henry quinn

when i type there full names in it gives me births but when it comes to death im having no joy
ive tryed lancahsire bdm because this is where most of the lived

any advice would be grt
or even if someone else can see them
