Just had a look, none of mine on there. Shame, I would love to find a rellie of mine on a site like this.

If anyone has any info on the zulu rebellion at natal i would be grateful for help as my grandfather was awarded a silver medal when he was there in 1906

Alyson, google "From the Abyssinian Expedition to the Mau Mau Insurrection" which brings up a link to a 2.5 Mb pdf file of the Winterton African collection bibliography.

To be honest, I'm not sure whether it actually contains the information you are searching for, though I have found it invaluable in my own forays into African militaria and colonialism.

It contains some fabulous scans of contemporary books, pamphlets and other illustrative material.

Did you see the photo of the dead baby?

It would be unthinkable today.But as it says it would

be the only record of a young life cut short.

It is under Soldiers and their Families on Leave.
