I think I'd go for the birth cert next just to double check.
As Mary had 3 forenames the one I found looks correct.

If it does start with W then it could be Walter or William (or an abbreviation). Does it say what his occupation is?

Could someone more experienced please help! Ihave the marriage certificate of my ggrandad and ggrandmother Ebenezer Sidney Kemp b1884 and Mary Ann Amelia Turner b 1883. They married in 1910 @ St Carter the Great Church Chichester. I cannot read the first name of Mary Ann's father, it begins with W. Can anyone please help in finding anything on Mary Ann, I would be very very grateful. Sara
