I am just ordering a possible death certificate in 1852 for Isaac, hopefully it will have a Pearce as the informant!

I wonder if it is possible Isaac is her father? The 1851 again does not state father in law, just lodger, he could be if the baptism is correct, but very young father!

I've found a baptism for a Isaac Comely in 1794 in Old sodsbury, I will have to do some more investigating!

Have just checked 1841 image and the name looks more like Comley to me, on Findmypast it is actually transcribed as that.

I wonder if this is relevant?

Vicky, given that the ages were rounded down on the 1841 and relationships not given, it is even possible that Isaac could be her father if he was 49. It is also possible that Henry could be her 31 year old brother.

Just confuses things more!

My 3 x great grandfather Joseph Pearce was born in 1835 in Rodborough, Gloucestershire the son of John and Harriett Pearce.

As he was born before birth certs, I ordered his brother George Pearce's birth certificate from 1839 to find their mother's maiden name. At first it appeared Harriett's maiden name was Cowley, but on closer inspection the "C" looked like a curly "E" and it looked something like Ermley.

I couldn't find anybody relevant with this surname so I left it for a while....until tonight!

I was looking again at the Pearce family and came accross them in 1841. When I first looked at them I had assumed that who they were living with were boarders:

Now I think that Isaac and Henery (Henry?) Emley could be maybe brothers of Harriett? Again, I can't find them on any other census to confirm their last names or any other record of them!

If anybody could help me find where Isaac and Henry disappeared to or have any ideas where I could go from here I would be very grateful.

Although in 1841 it states that Harriett was born in Gloucestershire, all other census' say she was born in around 1812 in Bath, Somerset.
