i have found a ethel kate page listed in Chichester born 1903
but cannot find her mother ... can anyone help ..many thanks
BMD only gives basic and the same with looking in genes .. apart from buying cert .. any ideas.. i have a theory..that she was ethel kate pages born uckfield daughter ...am i barking up the wrong tree...because otherwise ethel kate page born uckfield think this is right might have got this wrong think this might be the cenus date......1881 had her first child aged late thirties and then went onto have 7 other children and she died in 1937 last child was born in 1935

Sorry but the only way you will know for certain is to buy the birth certificate. This will show the mother's first name, married name (if married) and maiden name. It will also show the father's name (if they were married).

You then have both parents names to take the next step backwards and look for their wedding.

Sorry but there is no other way to be 100 per cent sure.

There's an Ethel K. Page on the 1901 census, born 1881 Uckfield. She's with her parents in Uckfield. There's a 3 month old grandaughter, Dorothy M. Page in the household. Is she Ethel's?
Interestingly Ethel's mother was born in America.

Ethel Kate from Uckfield appears to have married either Herbert John Mockett or John Alfred Richards in Uckfield in 1905 2b 185.

Are either of the names Mockett or Richards familiar to you?

yes she was born on usa family went out in 1855 and returned in 1865 we believe ....i am just trying to find this other ethel .. just seems to similar

Do you mean that an Ethel K Page married a Foster so when she died in 1937 the death would be registered as Foster?
