If you contact GR they will make the corrections for you.

GR automatically creates a blank wife / husband when you enter a parent.

The trick is to update this auto created record and not try to add a further spouse / partner, unless you specifically want to have two.

If you have your own program, eg FTM, you can export the tree, change it there, and then re-import

Hi Pam

Sounds like you have a problem similar to one that hit me just before Christmas. I only managed to get round it by deleting the entire tree and then replacing it by uploading the gedcom file from the tree I keep on my own computer.

Hello J O Grandad
I cant put it in another position. It must be pre set. If I add a second wife etc it put it in what I feel is the wrong place.

If it's your GR tree, I think the only way is to copy the entry into its correct position and then delete the original. If the person you want to move has descendants you will have to move and then delete them as well.

Can anyone tell me if I can move a relative on my tree. A couple of the boxes are not in the correct place and I would like to move them to coincide with events. Is it possible?
