KIPPLER - fathers occupation on marriage certificate?

the copy is difficult to read but the occupation looks like kippler - does anyone have a clue as to what this occupation is

the cert has just arrived I have had a quick look at the census and if the correct one hes down as an agricultural labourer

Sounds like it could be something to do with farm work.

Thought maybe but this is nothing to do with farming.
Tippler Alehouse keeper - It was also the name for an outside "toilet"!! (hole in the ground!)
