Is there a way to see if my daughters grandfather was posted in WW2 if he didnt die in the War?

you can search the CWGC site for casualties.

There are no WW2 Army records at National Archives or on Ancestry. His records will still be with the Army. Only next of kin can apply and it costs £30, unless the man or his wife are still alive, in which case it is free.

As Ann explained WW2 war records are kept with the army...
tele.....01412245147 they are very helpful and will send you the necessary forms to fill in which by the way are quite short :-)
