well the surname is spelt both ways that you have put it lindsey
and they live in manchester
both parents come from ireland but on one of the censu sheets it has the mother from manchetser very confusing

According to the 81 census, wife's name is Winnifred. Must be the right one, children are:

She's also Winnifred in 1871 and it gives her maiden name because her unmarried sister is living with them and she's Julia McWalters. Both Winnifred and Julia born in Ireland.
