Anita

This is an old thread, and Linda might not see it.

May I suggest that you send her a pm (personal message)

Just click on her name, and then type your message in the box. Click Submit

GR will then send an email to her home address to let her know that there is a message waiting on-site for her.

been there today - it belongs to my other half's grandad. the original was replaced by a smaller house and that one was replaced 22 years ago with the current one.

Hi Kath,

Yes, I wondered that. I did google it and it looks quite a large building

I was hoping someone who lives nearby would know of it

Thanks

Perhaps it was some sort of nursing home.

Thanks everybody. I had googled it and thanks for the google idea Kath.

I just wondered if anyone in the area knew it. My GGran's address was given in the occ. part as.... Frances Hammond of St Leonards on Sea. Sussex, widow of Lester Hammond, gardner.......and she died at the Montvale address..

I wondered what 'Montvale' was

If you put the address you give into Google Maps, then this present day address still seems to exist:-

Montvale House
Wells Rd
Hallatrow, Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset BS39
