Sorry we seem to have duplicate threads going on, On his marriage he is spelt SHEPARD with a A ??? Can you decide which thread we should reply Joan on as this is confusing You have put the name on 4 boards and you only need to have one. People are answering all over the place!

I had a look on the NA website and found this entry - I'm not sure what the date on it refers to, but if it's a birth date then this might just be your chap. Depends on whether you want to take a chance on finding out - it costs £3.50 to download from the NA website.

I have downloaded some and the dates did refer to birth dates in those instances but not sure if that's the case with all of them.

Cannot find a Richard with father George.

Please could anyone help?
I am trying to trace my grandad Richard Shepherd he was born in 1887 place unknown. His dad was called George.George was a Painter and Glazier. Richard was in the royal navy and he married a lady called Lavinia Eliza Martin 1910 on isle of wight. they had my dad Richard Henry Arthur Shepherd born 1911 on the isle of wight. Richard jr and Lavinia moved to E.Yorkshire
Does anyone have any information on Richard senior what happened to him,where he was born or did he have any siblings?
