looking for relatives in australia without any luck, can anybody please advise where the best sites are to be found. especially interested in immagration records from 1960, have found ship and names of family but no other records to be found.

Which State are you interested in? There isn't much online as late as that.

Hi Jane - you could try the 'National Library of Australia' (Canberra) - (query form on-line) -they will check their records including electoral rolls. ....Valerie (WA)

Hi Jane, you could try the National Archives in Australia naa.gov.au - it gives details of entry into Australia, naturalisation etc. They have a guest search facility and you can order the documents.
Also you could try cemetery records at www.esmp.nsw.gov.au in case they may be deceased.
