I'm on holiday in UK and my partner in Spain has called me to say that there is a constant pop up filling the screen as soon as pc starts up. It won't allow him to get into anything at all even Genes, as it is flashing continually on screen.

I have several protections running so can't understand how this got in. I'm quite concerned and would appreciate some advice. I am using someone else's PC to write this so if I don't reply straight away please know that I will when I can. Thank you.

Chica, if you post this on General board Errol or Steve may be able to help you.

My husband had something similar on his screen recently. He downloaded Spybot search and destroy and ran that.

That got rid of it.

He had some strange flashing screen with loads of smilies and such like coming up and taking over. He doesn't know where it came from.

I hope you can get rid of it soon. Spybot does seem good.
