Hi

Please has anyone any idea when the Manchester Burial Records site will be up and running again, I am getting very impatient and really need to search them for some of my ancestors.

I know they are presently updating it to put some more records on but it has been like that that a couple of weeks now.

I just keep checking back and being disappointed, it doesnt say when it will be back on line. Just in case there is someone around who hasnt heard of it I find it a very useful site for checking out possible graves around Manchester and would recommend it. It is free to search for names and dates but if you want to view details of a grave it is £12 for 4 grave searches, expensive so you need to be quite sure it is the one you want.

Manchestergov.co.uk or just google Manchester Burial Records

Only thing is you will have to be patient like me!!!

Researching:
Stirrup, Williams, Winter, Newton, Johnson, Barrett, Bruce, Bruen, Hartley, Proffit, Rogers, all in Manchester and loads of other names and places
