How to verify IGI details

verification can only be done by viewing the original documents.
however you can add substance to your igi entries by looking at the census years,
as you have done;
perhaps the person is deceased hence no census entry;
perhaps they left the country;
perhaps they re-married; and so on.
You could look at the sites i have posted in the last few days on this site they offer
numerous free parish records.
take a look, you may hit a jackpot.

You have to look at the original records whether that be in the church or a record office or looking at a film of the records that are held by the IGI people.

Please can anyone tell me how to verify pre 1837 details found on IGI a I am well and truly stuck. The information was submitted by another researcher and sems to fit but I cant ffind the ancestor in any census records post 1837. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
