One of my lot - a family of 8 children - had all (bar one) baptised on the same day - the eldest was 17 and the youngest about 2. |

Have you checked just prior to his marriage....?if the local vicar saw it as a requirement..he could have insisted that he be baptized,,,,,,or if the bride was local and was known by the church it probally wasnt asked if he had been,,but at least 80%were done as infant for fear of them dying by the parents and not being buried in consecrated ground ,! |

Please does anyone know if it was a requirement that you had been baptised/christened before you were allowed to marry in church? |
