Tips for requesting information

When requesting infomration include the following:
Name Surname, Birth Date-place, Marriage Date-place and Death Date-place if you know them. Enter as much information as you have. Also include Parents and or siblings with wife if known.

For people with a large tree these tips help with locating who you need.

Research is very time consuming and with more information it takes the guesswork out of the searching.

Also when giving access to your tree make sure you have more than one person listed. This defeats the purpose of research. It tells the other person that you have only started and looking for imformation without trying to search on your own.

As my tree is very large and I am on the computer up to 12 hrs a day doing research, I may not check your data out if the conditions in the first paragraph is not followed. Unless you post Surnames of my main intrest.

With 13,814 surnames in my tree and some with one given name I may have 80-100 people to search thru.

So PLEASE give those dates and places.

Regards,
Harold

Harold perhaps they could also give the county.

Sometimes they give the village or town and my geography is not what it should be and first I have to find out what county it's in before I can even start looking
