But check the original image if you go through freebmd. Sometimes a reference is mistranscribed.

I use Ancestry, it gives you the reference and links straight in 'buy a certificate now'
You can get a free 2 week trial to Ancestry...be warned it will be addictive!

They show you the volume and page the record is on.

someone else can advise I'm sure if FreeBMD is the same...???

I need to order a marriage certificate from 1909.
How do I go about it and what information do I need? does anyone know of any good websites? or will I have to write to the records office?
Sorry, so many questions.....
