Apparently Ancestry are adding WW1 service records, slowly but surely, in alphabetical order for the records that survived the WW2 blitz....I think that I have it correct! |

Know how you feel Chris. I have just helped a friend find her Grandfathers records. We have uncovered hand written letters from him and his wife also a description on him when he enlisted. Happy we are as have no photos of him. He was in The Australian Forces in France.1916-1918. |

No Chris, its on ancestry.co.uk - do you have a sub already? Then just go there and look at all the records you can see, theres lots more than just the census and bmd. |

I can’t wait for mine to be on there! The surnames only go up to about G or H at the minute and all my main surnames start from K! |

The pension records are complete (for those that survived). It is the service records which are still being update. Although they are called pension records, not all of the men received a pension. My uncle is on there and he was medically discharged within a few weeks with no pension. He was short sighted - wonder how they missed that in the medical! |
