Thankyou Rose - I think it must be him as William was his grandfather - I don't quite know where I got the 'H' from, I will order the cert and check.

I have tried without success to find the death of my great uncle Lamble H SPRY born c1895 in Paignton Devon First of three siblings Howard & Lillian. Son of Fredrick Lamble SPRY and Bessie formaly BAKER.
My mother said he was lost during WW1 'lost at sea' as a child she always fantisied he had lost his memory and was on a desert Island.
Are there any super slouths out there??
