Thank you all
I only found out today about this Joseph from an elderly relative who visited my mum. This joseph was apparently my nans brother. The information came from some kind of funeral card or something like that. It gives his place of burial as the city of london cemetary and also gives the grave number. It gave the date of death and age. The elderly relative thinks it possible he died in some kind of motorbike accident but guess we will have to get the death cert for that. I dont think that family is the right one as none of the names are relevant. The only other child that was around in 1901 was a girl by Amelias first marriage. The child was called amelia or millicent?
Again thank u for yr input

That's what I thought Heather and he wouldn't have been on the 1901 census, lol.

The family you posted is the one I found also.

Which I guess makes that Mile end birth more in the running. And he wouldnt appear on the 1901 census.

How do you know his parents names?

1901 possible? If Joseph William was known as William cos of dad being Joe? Or he was actually William Joseph and swopped the names later? Dad is from Chelmsford by the way.

I can't find one in 1901 with parents Joseph and Amelia, did find a family in London with those names but no Joseph born 1900.

I can post the details of that family if you think it's the correct one. Maybe he was born later than you think.

How did he die and where?

This seems the most likely birth but if you got his death cert it would help who the informant was and where he died?

Can anyone find the birth of Joseph or perhaps find him on the 1901 census. The only info i have is his death which was 23/10/1918 age 18. Believe he would have been born in London. His parents would have been a Joseph and an Amelia.
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
