Play with it Virginia. Its all there, just have a good mooch around and see what else you can do - like finding people just using their first name and the rest of their info - which is something you may well have to do if a surname is badly mistranscribed. |

Better still than what Jim suggests is to always go to the original census page. It's amazing how many mistakes are made on the transcriptions. I always use the originals. |

I am learning so please be kind. Jim has just helped me with the death of a child in my family. I did manage to find the information myself through ancestry.co.uk but all I found was Name, quarter of death and age.. Jim found all the same but with mothers name fathers name etc. so much easier for cross checking. I found the same the other night too, not only did they find the name, but also babtism, marriage..... Where am I going wrong here?? |
