Have you not got your own birth certificate? Brian gives 3 possibles. Brinnington is definitely Stockport, I live not far away. I'd guess you are Hayley Linda, but I don't know what Brian means by JAS 1975.

Explain please Brian.

If you think this is you, I would have a look at the Electoral Roll for 1975, and Martin and Lynn Walker. You might find somewhere like Stockport Library prepared to look this up for you, for free, some libraries are really helpful. Give it a whirl at least.

Hayley I have looked at Cheshire bmd which includes Stockport but have been unable to find Martin Walker
I have also looked at the in Lancs Bmd but no Martin Walker

I know you dont know your fathers birth year but it would help to find out as another member(s) may have him in their tree.
I looked for your birth in 1975 and found 3 possibles.
Hayley WALKER mothers maiden name (MMN) WORTHINGTON Manchester July Aug Sept 1975
Hayley Jane MMN RICHMOND Manchester JAS 1975
Hayley Linda mmn CROSS Stockport JAS 1975.

If you had your birth certificate it would give fathers age and his fathers name. Again, other members may have his father in their tree.

Had a look for your parents marriage around Stockport with mother called CROSS but nothing for 1973 -1975 inc I could see.

Not a lot but hope it helps a little.

i was born in 1975 as far as i know they were married by then my mum was 19 when she had me. so maybe marriage was in 74? dont know a great deal about him. just his name and where i was born!

does anybody have any tips on how to go about finding my dad? tried the usual 192.com etc. maybe somebody knows him! his name is martin walker was married to my mum lynn they lived in brinnington stockport. any tips would be gratefully received
