Help needed for this gereatric researcher.

My old old desk top use to Run my cd rom library for this family history resource file set but I have not used it for a number of years.

Now the grandchildren have given me a laptop I am very confused as I cannot get these cds to Run .

Have no idea what to do.

Any suggestions as to where I could turn for advice please.

The set is 1881 British Census and National Index with the Family History Resource File Viewer 2.0+ disc.

Hair is turning whiter by the day.

You could also try familysearch.com since the 1881 census search is free
