Just had a look have made a note of all the not allowed marriages.

First cousins can marry. They have been able to for a long time.

Rules were much stricter in the Middle Ages but certainly relaxed to allow cousin marriages some time ago.

If you have a prayer book you may find in it a list of prohibited marriages.

I thought first cousins were not allowed to marry.
I have got some in my tree that I think have married just waiting for the cert to come.
They were married in the 1900 was that allowed then or am I wrong and you can get married.
