That's fabulous news, I have managed to speak to the current owner of 28 Laurier Road and I have been in contact with Camden Library so I'm hoping they can find me some pictures. Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jan ,
It may no longer be there if any new inroads or flyovers have been built in recent years,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hi Jan

I have a 1936 A-Z of London and it shows a Lewisham Rd as a turning off Highgate Rd. On a modern A-Z the same street is shown as Laurier Rd. Many streets in London were re-named in the 1930's to prevent confusion and there was a Lewisham rd in South London then. Hope that helps!

Malcolm

PS I know the area as well as I used to work up there and it is still an area of Victorian/Edwardian houses etc, thankfully no flyovers etc!

My ggg grandfather Robert Way sent a letter (dated 1925) to my g grandmother Charlotte Way from a 28 Lewisham Road, highgates road, london NW5
I have been able to find a Highgate road in NW5 but not a Lewisham road so i was hoping that someone may know the area and be able to help or advise. I have tried loads of street maps from that period but still not been able to find it.
Hope someone can help

Jan
