Hi -

Marriage GRO ref:

William H Todd - Sep Qtr 1950 - Bermondsey - 5c - 271.

Today I have found what I think is the marriage
of my uncle Willie - details above.

It would seem that his bride could have been either a Grant or a Pritchard.

I do know that his bride was a Moira but I have neither surname nor Ancestry.

Could some kind soul do a cross reference check to see whether either the ladies Grant and Pritchard had the name Moira.

Many thanks - must leave the house now but will be back later.

Regards

It means she went under both names
Her name is transcribed as Moyra M Pritchard
She does not appear as Grant???
PS
she does appear as James!!!!

No its James or Pritchard Bermondsey 5c 271 means the bride was known by both names so by cross checking its
Moyra M James Bermondsey 5c 271
also known as Moyra M Pritchard same GRO ref

If you order the cert just quoting William H Todd then you will get just one cert with the ref to both surnames on it for the bride

She may have been divorced. A relation of mine is listed under both her maiden name and her previous married name.

She may also have been adopted. My grandmother has on her first marriage certificate her maiden name Cook with 'otherwise Byfield' underneath
