Any help or tips on this matter please feel free to point us in the right direction. I know there was some excellent threads a while ago but I cant seem to find them over the last couple of days. Is it worth registering on the adoption register? |

Hi I have recently received a birth cert for a child born in glasgow. The mother is a relative who I am trying to trace. The first column on the certificate states "adopted....the london registrar" I think it says the london. She is from London and we do have other records to confirm her pregnancy etc and going to scotland to have the child. We know she had a child that she put into barnados in london 2yrs prior to this child so does this column refer to that child or to the one she has just gave birth to? (1956) the lady in question was also in the home as a child. |
