John and Ellen married at St Paul's Church, Crewe...from the Cheshire bmd website.

I can't see any likely candidates on the 1901 census for John or Ellen so you really do need the marriage certificate for more info.

Can anyone take me back beyond this 1925 birth of my father in law please? All I know of him is his mother's name, Ellen Mcmanus. I would like more info on her too please. This family is rooted in Nantwich/Crewe/ Haslington as far as I know and may be even further. I want to do this for my husband who has been poorly recently so any help would be gratefully received.
