Hi guys,

I have an occupation of the bride's father listed as "F.W.H" and wondered if anyone had any idea what this meant?

Thanks,

Amy

Is it FWK?

Frame work knitter

Framework Knitter (FWK)
Operated a hosiery making loom
(Abbreviated FWK in census returns)

Ah yes that would make sense! Looking at it now it could definitely be a K.

He was living in Leicester at the time and this would fit in as on the 1851 census as a framework knitter!

Thanks a lot!
