I am trying to confirm the place of birth for my father-in-law 5 August 1922 I believe it is Edmonton London or Stratord.

I have checked a general search on Ancestry and can;t find anything I have put in mothers maiden name and nothing appears.

Any ideas

Thanks

Are you looking at the Complete BMD's on Ancestry.

Coverage on partial indexes is a bit hit and miss for the 1920's

You need to do the complete births in ancestry put his surname in and year of birth and it will tell you were he was registered. You will need a birth certificate to see where he was born
