A lot of Social Services now out source their post adoption work to Adoption Support Agencies like 'After Adoption'. Since the 2005 adoption law change adoptees and birth family members can in fact apply through any Adoption Support Agency and they apply to who ever on your behalf. |

Personally speaking, I have found adoption records an absolute nightmare to get hold of. I believe that biological parents cannot get hold of these records, and the the person who was adopted must wait until they are 18. But going through social services is a right pain in the backside. I have had three branches of them palm me off. |
