Is anyone else having problems viewing images on ancestry tonight? Haven't felt like doing any work on my tree for a while and now that I do, I can't!!

Seems to be a problem with census images?

No problems at all.............

Yes all the time - it only lets you look at a few entries then stops. The only way to look again is to close down and then switch on again and go in and start another search. So bad. Irene

Thanks Irene. Glad I'm not the only one.
It's just let me do a look-up for someone else too!
So frustrating!

I've been having the same problem as you Irene. It seems to be when I have opened quite a few images quite quickly that it suddenly stops letting you open any image at all.

Also having problems closing down Ancestry. We end up with the computer freezing and having to use the task manager to end the program. It's been happening for months and emailing Ancestry hasn't got us anywhere.

Mine's fine but I've never downloaded the enhanced viewer

I've even gone back to the basic viewer Claire, but getting nowhere with that either.

Did re-start the computer and it's working ok for now (fingers crossed)

I have been having this problem for about 10days now, i have complained to Ancestry but they seem to think it is with logging on and off, there is another link with this problem on here but i think it was last week. It is so annoying as i am paying for a service that i am not getting

Have nudged another thread on the subject.

Problem seems to be connected with the Ancestry Enhanced viewer which needs to be removed altogether. Instructions are on the thread.

There is also mention of a Norton Add-in called Norton Confidential which needs to be disabled if you have it installed as this can interfere.

Alternatively use Firefox, this does not support the enhanced browser and will not even allow you to install it.
